Hallo,

ich bin neu hier. leider konnte ich zu meinem Problem im Forum oder auch anderswo nichts finden.

nach dem Update von Ubuntu 12.04 auf 14.04 werden Textdateien und pdfs nicht mehr mit den von mir bevorzugten Programmen (Leafpad und Okular) geöffnet. diese Programme sind zwar noch installiert, aber auch über das Dash werden sie nicht gefunden (ich kann sie aber über den Terminal starten). Wenn ich über "Eigenschaften → öffnen mit" die Zuordnungen ändern möchte, tauchen diese beiden Programme auch nicht in der Auswahlliste auf. Das Entfernen und neu installieren hat daran auch nichts geändert.

Darum die Frage: gibt es Möglichkeiten, die Dateizuordnungsliste manuell zu aktualisieren oder zu editieren? ich hoffe ich konnte das Problem halbwegs verständlich beschreiben und bin für jede Hilfe dankbar. gruß

Ah okay, dass könnte erklären, warum er die Desktopdatei nicht findet:

cat ./usr/share/applications/libreoffice-startcenter.desktop 

cat: ./usr/share/applications/libreoffice-startcenter.desktop: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden

Da ich die Gnome-Shell nicht verwende, müssen wir uns leider erst einmal auf die Suche machen:

find / -name  libreoffice-startcenter.desktop 2> /dev/null 

Dabei blende ich mit dem letzten Teil des Befehls die Errormeldungen aus. Bei Suchen ohne Superrechte in / sieht man sonst das Ergebnis vor lauter Erorrmeldungen nicht mehr.

Entschuldige den Punkt.

Offensichtlich hast du (als Benutzer george) einen lokalen Starter, der den anderen überschreibt.

Benenne den bitte zum testen um:

mv /home/george/.local/share/applications/libreoffice-startcenter.desktop /home/george/.local/share/applications/libreoffice-startcenter.olddeskt 

und teste nach einem Neustart, ob du LibreOffice über das graue Symbol starten kannst.

bevor ich das mache noch der Hinweis:

da ich Libreoffice mal per Hand installiert habe (weil die Version 4.x in Ubuntu 12.04 nicht mit der Aktualisierungsverwaltung kam), habe ich auch jetzt kein "graues Symbol" zum starten von LibreOffice (du meinst damit doch den allgemeinen Starter, wo dann die einzelnen Anwendungen wie Writer oder Calc drüber geöffnet werden, oder?). ich habe nur Einzelne Symbole für die Einzelanwendungen von Libreoffice.

soll ich das Umbenennen trotzdem machen?

Hm, nein dann besser erstmal nicht.

Versuchen wir es mit einem anderen Programm. Das Problem besteht ja allgemein. Solltest du Okular nicht auch manuell installiert haben, versuchen wir es mal damit. Also bitte

find / -name okular.desktop 2> /dev/null 

Dann ein

cat gefundener Pfad 

mit allen von find gefundenen Pfaden.

Denn kenne ich sogar und habe da auch nochmal hereingeschaut. Aber der TS kann die Programme nicht über die graphischen Symbole starten. Das kann nicht an den 5 im Artikel genannten Dateien liegen oder?

Leider führt mein bisheriger Ansatz aber auch nicht zum Erfolg. Die okular.desktop sieht völlig korrekt aus.

Du kannst ja mal versuchen, die Zuordnungen der Mimetypen mit dem von benno-007 genannten Artikel zu bearbeiten. Und dann berichten, ob damit auch der zweite Teil des Problems (d.h. dass sich die Programmen nicht graphisch starten lassen) behoben wurde.

Du kannst ja mal versuchen, die Zuordnungen der Mimetypen mit dem von benno-007 genannten Artikel zu bearbeiten. Und dann berichten, ob damit auch der zweite Teil des Problems (d.h. dass sich die Programmen nicht graphisch starten lassen) behoben wurde.

hab jetzt in all diesen Dateien rumgeschaut und bei "application/pdf=okular.desktop" eingetragen, leider aber ohne Erfolg.

das Problem ist ja nicht, dass ich diese Programme nicht übers Dash starten kann (das hab ich mit etwas Frickelei hinbekommen), sondern wenn ich zB auf eine pdf klicke, sich nicht Okular öffnet sondern Gimp. und dass im Menu "rechtsklick auf pdf->Eigenschaften->öffnen mit" zwar ne Menge "Weitere Anwendungen" stehen, aber Okular (und auch Leafpad) dort nicht auftauchen, obwohl sie ja installiert sind und prinzipiell auch funktionieren. nur lassen sie sich nicht den jeweiligen Endungen zuweisen.
