Hallo wieder mal! [ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.1), i7 2600k (8x 3,4 GHz, 3,8 GHz Boost), 16 GB-RAM, 2 Monitore, DualBootSystem (Linux Ubuntu, Version 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) 64-bit, Kernel Linux 4.15.0-34-generic x86_64, MATE 1.20.1 + Win7 Pro 64bit)] Ich hatte die 16.04-Version installiert, ein upgrade auf 18.04 gemacht, wo mir schon bei der Installation einige Fehler gemeldet wurden. Jetzt funktioniert XSane 0.999 nicht mehr: Wenn ich das Programm starte, findet er das MFG (Samsung C480FW) nicht mehr, was vorher einwandfrei gearbeitet hat! Ich habe XSane schon deinstalliert, neu installiert und auch den USB-Stecker kurz gezogen. Aber leider alles vergeblich! Vielleicht bekomme ich hier wieder mal ein paar gute Ratschläge! LG Thommy

Nachtrag: Drucken funktioniert noch, jedoch scannen mit XSane funktioniert gar nicht, XSane findet keine Geräte. Auch nachdem ich die Treiber-Software von der Samsung-Seite neu heruntergeladen und neu installiert habe! Ich wüßte nicht, wo ich XSane "zeigen" kann, wo sich der Drucker befindet.

Die Treiber sind im Falschen Ordner.Führe aus sudo ln -sf /usr/lib/sane/libsane-smfp.so* /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane/ Dann sollte der Scanner Funktionieren.Nur falls keine Funktion,zeige wieder export SANE_DEBUG_DLL=255 && scanimage -L

Ich habe den ersten Befehl eingegeben, mein Password eingegeben, es kam keine Meldung, wie "Befehl erfolgreich ausgeführt" oder so! - Nachdem dann XSane jetzt das Fenster "Suche nach Geräten" gleich schliesst, ohne ein Gerät gefunden zu haben (sonst kam immer noch eine Meldung, dass XSane keine Geräte gefunden hat), gab ich dann den Befehl erneut ein. Da fand er das MFG, als ich aber dann das Scannen startete, verschwanden die Fenster (s. Fotos) wieder, ohne dass sich was tat! Nachtrag: Ich habe nach der Eingabe auch wieder versucht, XSane zu starten, aber ohne Fenster (Meldungen) zu bringen, schlos es die Suche nach Geräten wieder!

Ok,füge dich zur Gruppe lp hinzu mit sudo adduser $USER lp Sowie rm -r ~/.sane Neustart Danach Scannen wieder Testen.
