Könnte das auch für dein Problem zutreffen?
Ich denke da hast Du Recht mit Deiner Vermutung. Leider hab ich nicht das Know-How mir den Treiber selbst an den neuen Kernel anzupassen. Jemand anders vielleicht? Ich lerne gern dazu - bei Linux lohnt sichs meiner Meinung nach ☺.

Moin moin, bin mal echt am verzweifeln. Habe mir auf diesen Artikel und nem günstigen Angebot den Stick in Rev.2 gekauft.
Bekomme den krams nicht zum laufen. Habe diverse Sachen hier ausprobiert. Mein System ist unten ausführlich aufgelistet...aber nochmal kurz.
-Ibm Thinkpad T41
-Hardy Heron 8.04
-Terratec Cinergy T usb xe Kaffeine erkennt auch keine dvbt Peripherie.

Hallo SnuSnu87! Bei Dir sollte die ein paar Seiten weiter oben stehende Anleitung mit "git clone ..." funktionieren, klappte bei 8.04 bei mir auch prima.
Achtung beim Update auf 8.10, falls Du das planst - seitdem funzt die Kanalsuche bei mir nicht mehr. Ich kann keinen einzigen Sender mehr ansehen! edit: Sehe gerade, dass Dein lsusb NICHTS hervor brachte - hattest Du dabei den Stick eingesteckt am USB Port? Gruß

Dann gibt es definitiv ein Problem beim Thema "USB-Erkennung" bei Dir. Dazu kann Dir wahrscheinlich Eishailiga mehr sagen, da muss ich passen.
diese git Geschichte geht bei mir nicht, was muss ich dazu installieren?
Paketverwaltung Synaptic öffnen, "git"-Software nachinstallieren. Danach sollte es mit sudo git clone (...) gehen. Ich denke aber das erste Problem wird DIr mehr zu schaffen machen. Erkennt Dein Note andere USB Sticks?

Hm...usb sticks werde fast gar nicht erkannt von meinem Thinkpad :-/ ein 1gb usb stick wurde automatisch gemountet und anch etwa 10sec wieder entfernt.
Sehr lästig. Hat wer ne Idee wie ich da rangehen kann? Achso der link nach den "git clone" sit nicht mehr erreichbar ☹

Nach einer Recherche im Netz habe ich rausgelesen, dass die Rev.2 der Cinergy T USB XE wohl keinen Treiber für den Tunerchip hat. Ich habe darauf hin versucht den etwas älteren Treiber von linux.terratec.de zu installieren, weil der (so scheint es jedenfalls) den Tunertreiber enthält. Die "git clone ..." Lösung (weiter oben) enthält einen tunertreiber für die rev2 (habe ich auch), die bei mir unter 8.04 funktoniert hat.
Seitdem ich aber zu 8.10 gewechselt bin, habeich auch nur einen warmstate-Stick ohne Tunertreiber. Bitte nach wie vor um Hilfe!
