Ich würde einen neuen Beitrag aufmachen, das hat sich jetzt doch sehr vom Ausgangsthema entfernt.

Evolution gehört zum Gnome Projekt, ist also eng mit dem Desktop verknüpft. Auch wenn Evolution (GUI) nicht installiert, werden da Komponenten genutzt. Wenn du z.B. den Kalender von Gnome mit TB nutzt, weiß das logischerweise Evolution bei einer Nachinstallation.

Vor der ganzen Arbeit solltest du auf 24.04 hochgehen, 22.04 ist keine gute LTS. Die 5 Jahre Ubuntu LTS ist für Unternehmen und Firmen gedacht.

Habe nämlich eben testweise mal in einer KVM einen neuen Ubuntu 24.04 Server aufgesetzt (aber keine Minimal-Installation!!!). Zusätzlich hab ich dann gleich noch den OpenSSH-Server mit installiert. SOnst aber nix was in der Installationsroutine noch auswählbar ist.

apt-get update && apt install postgresql php-pgsql

Was soll ich sagen? Ich hatte keine Fehlermeldungen !!! Alles lief ohne Probleme. Aber ich habe die Anleitung eben auch wirklich Schritt für Schritt befolgt.

Hast du denn einen neuen Server aufgesetzt oder installierst du in einen vorhandenen?

Hast du bei einem neuen Server zuvor ein

sudo -i
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y && apt-get dist-upgrade -y

durchgeführt? Danach dann auch den Schritt EINS nicht vergessen? Die Installation der Basiskomponenten:

apt-get install gnupg gnupg2 pigz lsb-release wget imagemagick libmagickcore-6.q16-6-extra curl rsyslog dialog apt-utils cron iputils-ping bzip2

Danach dann nginx, PHP und erst dann PostgreSQL?

Ich hab es soeben so gemacht und siehe da es geht (anders als bei dir).

Zuerst mal Danke für die Antworten und das "tadellose" Verschieben.

Evtl. sollte man noch erwähnen, dass ich das auf einem Raspberry 4 machen möchte.

Ich bin gerade dabei, eine frische SD-Karte mit mit Ubuntu 24.02 mit dem rpi-imager zu beschreiben.

Ich muss gestehen, dass ich vorher schon das NextCloud nach dem Wiki von UU.de probiert hatte.

Dann nimm aber die Server Version, nicht die Desktop-Variante.

Das Lehrgeld habe ich schon bezahlt. Die Desktop Variante von Ubuntu ist sowas von lahm, genauso wie die von Manjaro.

Die Desktop Variante mit Debian ist brauchbar, wie machen die das nur?

Aber ich bleibe bei Ubuntu, wegen der guten wiki

Und falls es wer nachmachen möchte: Im rpi-imager KEIN wlan einrichten und Layout für US Tastatur bereitlegen.

eine Frage habe ich noch

Zur Installation von Nextcloud und aller dazu benötigten Komponenten benötigt ihr auf dem Server Root-Rechte. Diese administrativen Rechte könnt ihr unter Ubuntu normalerweise mit dem > Befehl sudo -s einfordern.

Kann es sein, dass einige Befehle mit sudo nicht funktionieren? jetzt, wo ich mir nach 20 Jahren endlich abgewöhne, als root unterwegs zu sein (-;

Richtig ist:

Man kommt sonst leicht durcheinander wo ein sudo vor gehört und wo nicht

@ ubunux .. man lernt nie aus, wer nicht fragt, bleibt dumm (-;

die Installation von postgresql scheitert aber nach wie vor, auch bei einer taufrischen Installation.

Ich glaube aber nicht an einen Fehler in der Anleitung, sondern im Image von Ubuntu für Raspi, das der rpi-imager aufstpielt.

Mir sind schon seltsame Sachen aufgefallen, z.B geht das Ethernet nicht, wenn man gleichzeitig W-lan einrichtet.

Und das System startet mit US-Tastatur, obwohl .de als Option gewählt wurde.

Von 22.04 lässt sich kein update machen, um den hostnamen nachträglich zu ändern, muss man die Datei mit chattr "sichern" .

Schließt man über usb eine 2. luks verschlüsselte Festplatte an, kommt es irgendwann zu einem i-o Error uvm.

Es wird schon seinen Grund haben, dass mir ein bekannter vehement zu einem NAS rät.

Ich werde notgedrungen mit Debian weitermachen, damit soll es laut Anleitung auch gehen.

Von der Anleitung bin ich begeistert, die bereits markierten Befehle bleiben zur besseren Orientierung markiert, längere Befehle lassen sich leicht markieren und kopieren, das ist einfacher als bei der ebenfalls guten Anleitung für Virtualbox.

Du kannst statt PostgreSQL auch problemlos die MariaDB verwenden, wenn sich die auf dem Raspberry Pi installieren lässt.

Statt für ein NAS würde ich das Geld lieber für einen MiniPC ausgeben. Mit z.B. N100-Prozessor.

Auf diesen dann wahlweise Ubuntu- oder Debian-Server mit QEMU/KVM. Dann kannst du auf diesem mit QEMU/KVM weitere Server virtualisiert installieren.

Mein Weg war ein anderer, ich habe bei so einer Fehlermeldung selbst überlegt, was die Ursache sein könnte. Das war und ist nachhaltiger. 😎

Ich nutze schon länger NAS, aktuell ist es ein Raspberry Pi 5 mit Openmediavault

Könnte es sein, dass in den Paketquellen für Raspberry PI bereits eine Version von postgresql enthalten ist und es daher zu Versionskonflikten kommt?

Google Suche - Übersicht mit KI:

1. Update the package list:
Before installing, update the package list on your Raspberry Pi using sudo apt-get update. 
2. Install PostgreSQL:
Install PostgreSQL and its contrib packages (which include additional utilities) using sudo apt-get install postgresql postgresql-contrib. 

Demnach wäre da offenbar eine Version vorhanden.
