Hallo,

ich habe gestern Edubuntu 6.06.1 installiert. Die Installation verlief bis auf zwei Punkte ok. Punkt 1 war, dass die NEtzwerkinstallation nicht funktionierte, es wurde DHCP nicht erkannt. Dies holte ich nach dem ersten reboot aber nach. Der 2. Punkt war, dass ich nirgend sufgefortert wurde, die Bildschirmauflösung zu definieren. Auch dies holte ich nach dem reboot nach. Die Bildschirmauflösung gilt nun wohl nur für den jeweiliegen Benutzer, für den sie definiert ist, aber nicht für das System, denn beim Booten erscheint der Anmeldescreen für die Nutzer nicht in der definierten Auflösung. Das finde ich komisch.

Das eigentliche Problem begann, als ich einen zweiten Benutzer einrichtete. Beim Neustart bootet der Rechner jetzt normal bis zum Anmeldescreen. Wenn der Benutzer und das Passwort eingegeben werden, passiert minutenlang überhaupt nichts, man sieht lediglich einen grünen Monitor, es rappelt manchmal die Festplatte, das wars dann aber.

Nach ein paar Minuten startet dann Gnome. Wenn man dann versucht, den Benutzer zu wechseln, hängt dauert das auch minutenlang, und die Umgebung für den zweiten Nutzer startet gar nicht. Ich habe den zweiten Nutzer dann gelöscht, aber der Monitor bliebt immer noch minutenland tot bei der ANmeldung.

Nachdem dieser Thread wegen des Doppelpostings (sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry...) als "unerwünscht" und "unhöflich" im Ubuntu Forum geperrt wurde, kann die Lösung, die wie so oft von der Debian Liste stammt, nur hier verfolgt werden - für den, ders mal braucht.
