Hallo zusammen,

der mir vorliegende Rechner hat zwei für mich sichtbare DisplayPort-Anschlüsse. An einem davon ist via DisplayPort->HDMI-Kabel ein Monitor angeschlossen.

Gibts ein USB-C das als Displayport-Ausgang fungieren könnte?

Alternativ ist ggf. auch Daisy Chain mehrere Monitore an einem Displayport möglich.

Im Zweifel die Anleitung deines Mainboards / deiner Grafikkarte checken da sollte eigentlich drin stehen was geht und was nicht.

Als ich das letzte Mal danach suchte, hab ich was von bis zu 3 Monitoren gelesen. Ich frage mich halt wie ich die da ran kriege 😉

Aber ich versuch mal mich weiter schlau zu machen. Vielleicht kann jemand hierzu noch was schreiben:

Ist das technisch möglich bzw. könnte das sein?

Laut WikiChip bietet diese Grafik sowas freakiges wie

• Hybride DisplayPort-HDMI Anschlüsse an über dieses LSPCON, ich schätze, daher kommen die beiden DP-1/HDMI-1 Einträge, bei der ein DP Anschluss nur entweder-oder genutzt werden könnte (bei mir ist ein DP-Port weiterhin ein DP-Port, auch wenn ein DP->HDMI Kabel dranhängt).

Das hat aber dann mit Daisy-Chaining nichts zu tun, weil Daisy chaining mit jedem Display Port gehen dürfte und von der Monitor-Hardware abhängt.

Oh, dann eher kein Notebook-Bildschirm (xrandr sagt ja eigentlich auch, dass da nichts verschaltet ist).

Dann wüsste ich auch nicht, wo der eDP stecken könnte. Kann man nicht das MB identifizeren (dmidecode) und dazu eine Doku finden? Anscheinend ist der eDP aber tatsächlich nur für interne Verbindungen gedacht, ich finde dazu nur Flachbandkabel und onboard-Stecker.

Wenn ich die Supportseite von Intel richtig verstehe, dann: Ja, der Chip kann das grundsätzlich. Was aber nicht bedeutet, dass an allen Anschlüssen gleichzeitig die maximale Qualität verfügbar sein muss.

Genau da, wo die Hersteller der Grafikkarte (HP) und des Rechners (kA) das vorgesehen haben. Intel zeigt ja nur deren grundsätzliche Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten, zu denen natürlich auch immer gehört, weniger zu realisieren als grundsätzlich möglich wäre.

Danke für eure Antworten. Ich habe jetzt an den beiden DP-Ports jeweils einen Adapter auf HDMI und den Monitor. Passt soweit.

Könnte auch sein, daß das der gesuchte Anschluss ist und nur "falsch" angezeigt wird.

Wenn noch VGA-Kabel/Monitor vorhanden, einfach mal ausprobieren

Ich würde ja innen drin sowas vermuten, damit man ähnlich wie mit einem LVDS (Flachband/Folien-)kabel ein LCD Display anschliessen kann.
