Guten Morgen liebe Community,

ich hoffe ich kann hier hilfe finden und bin auch in der richtigen Kategorie. Ich verzweifele langsam an MySQL auf SLES 12 ... Ich habe MySQL nach der offiziellen Anleitung https://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-sles-repo-quick-guide/en/ installiert. Das hat auch alles wunderbar geklappt, bis ich zu dem Punkt "Securing the MySQL installation" angekommen bin. Ich habe das Problem, dass ich einfach kein root Passwort auswählen kann. Es kommt immer der Fehler error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)'. Auch wenn ich versucht habe, mich ohne Passwort einzuloggen, kam eine ähnliche Fehlermeldung. Jedenfalls habe ich dann versucht die MySQL installation rückgängig zu machen. Hat auch soweit funktioniert, bis auf dass das mysql Verzeichnis unter /var/lib/mysql nicht löschen bzw. umbenennen kann. Es kommt folgende Fehlermeldung "rm: das Entfernen von „/var/lib/mysql/“ ist nicht möglich: Das Gerät oder die Ressource ist belegt".

Falls jemand Vorschläge hat, gerne her damit. Ich verzweifel langsam an Mysql :I

Klingt nach einem Fall für lsof oder ps - ggfs. in Verbindung mit grep zum Filtern.

lsof | grep mysql

ps -aux | grep mysql

danke für deine Antwort. Ich habe ebend noch ein bisschen nachgeforscht und mit mount gesehen, dass das Verzeichnis eingehängt war. Folglich habe ich ein umount auf das Verzeichnis gemacht. Hat auch geklappt. Wenn ich nun versuche mit folgendem Befehl das Verzeichnis zu löschen, bekomme ich diese Fehlermeldung:

sudo rm -rf 
rm: das Entfernen von „/var/lib/mysql/“ ist nicht möglich: Die Operation ist nicht erlaubt

bei SLES habt ihr doch bestimmt offiziellen Support durch SUSE?! Die sind hier sicherlich kompetenter als ein Ubuntu-Supportforum 😉

Man kann Support da erfragen, wo es hingehört?

Jetzt höre aber auf, sonst kriegen die Mint/Elementary/$WHATEVER-User hier noch einen Herzinfarkt! 😈
