Hallo zusammen, ich habe Kubuntu frisch installiert und auf den aktuellsten Stand gebracht. Die Systemsprache ist deutsch und die meiste Software ist auch auf deutsch. Ich wollte über die Option "Sprache" in den Einstellungen die komplette Software auf deutsch umstellen. Dort wird mir auch ein "!" angezeigt. Ich soll per Klick auf "Download" die deutschen Sprachpakete nachinstallieren. Wenn ich da drauf klicke passiert nichts.

Kann es sein, dass man den Download mit sudo Rechten ausführen muss und er deshalb nicht funktioniert?

Danke für die Antworten. Hier die gewünschte Ausgabe. Das Paket war nicht installiert.

Ich habe nun einmal die Settings im Terminal geöffnet, um zu sehen warum nichts passiert wenn ich auf den installieren Button klicke. Der letzte Abschnitt sollte interessant sein, leider werde ich nicht schlau daraus.

Na dann die Sprachpakete für die entsprechenden Programme nachinstallieren ....

PS: Installiere "synaptic" nach, dann hast du ein Programm mit mehr Übersicht ....

Ich habe die fehlenden Pakete aus dem Terminal nun von Hand nachinstalliert. Autokorrektur in Libre Office klappt auch. Lediglich Firefox unterstreicht mir noch alles als falsch. Aber würde das Thema als gelöst bzeichnen.

Das Wörterbuch, das Firefox verwendet, kannst du per Rechtsklick in ein Texteingabefeld über das Kontextmenü einstellen.

Die Sprachpakete hätten auf deinen Firefox auch keinerlei Auswirkungen, der ist schließlich als Snap installiert und merkt nichts von solchen.

Ich habe jetzt auch nach dieser Methode die fehlenden Sprachpakete für "Deutsch" nachinstalliert, und das Warndreieck ist verschwunden. Muß ich die Prozedur jetzt für "American English" wiederholen, oder kann ich das einfach in die Tonne treten?
