Hallo Ingo,

hast du die mountall schon für Maverick?

Ich bin zwar nicht Ingo, aber ich habe gesehen, dass die das Teil für Maverick schon wieder mal geändert haben. Die letzte Version im ppa sollte immer noch funktionieren, muss nur per Hand ausgewählt werden. Aktuelle mountall für Maverick heute abend oder morgen im Laufe des Tages, hab momentan nicht die Zeit, das fertig zu machen.

Kannst du damit was anfangen?

Im Moment habe ich dafür auch keine Erklärug, habe selbst noch nicht mit verschlüsselten Partitionen gearbeit (außer Truecrypt).

Aus deinem letzten Output im SysLog scheint mir aber, daß die Installation erfolgreich war und es Probleme bei der Konfiguration gab.

Um zu testen, ob das Paket ordnungsgemäß installiert wurde, poste doch mal den Output von

dpkg -l cryptsetup

Da sollte eine Zeile etwa so ausgegeben werden:

ii   cryptsetup  ......

Das ii bedeutet, daß die Installation korrekt ist. Eventuell ist es auch noch eine Baustelle in Maverick?

P.S.: hast du die verschlüsselte Partion schon bei der Installation eingerichtet (das ist wohl der einfachste Weg)? Dann sollte es reichen. das bestehende Paket cryptsetup einfach durch die "befreite" Version zu ersetzen mit:

dpkg -i cryptsetup ....deb

Versuche, »/etc/bash_completion.d/cryptsetup" zu überschreiben ....

ist merkwürdig - warum sollte das nicht gehen?

Wie sind denn die Attribute der Datei? Output von:

ls -l /etc/bash_completion.d/cryptsetup

# und noch für den Fall, daß das auf "immutable" gesetzt ist:

lsattr /etc/bash_completion.d/cryptsetup

Ob da eventuell irgendwelche Sperren eingebaut sind?

Beim starten wird die verschlüsselte /home-Partition auch nicht gleich gefunden, es dauert ca. 15-20Sek. bis sie erkannt wird, kann aber auch an Plymouth liegen.

Puh, jetzt muß ich selbst noch was lernen.

Diese Datei benutzt "extents", die es meines Wissens nur bei ext4 gibt! Auf meinem ext3-System gibt es das Attribut garnicht. Die Zeile bei dir mit

-----------------e- /etc/bash_completion.d/cryptsetup

besagt, das diese Datei extents benutzt und wohl deshalb gesperrt ist. Die Bedeutung erfährt man mit:

man chattr
       The  'e' attribute indicates that the file is using extents for mapping
       the blocks on disk.  It may not be removed using chattr(1).

Wer jetzt dieses "e"-Attribut gesetzt hat? - ich nehme mal an, du hast bereits eine verschlüsselte Partition angelegt und evtl. sogar gemountet und dadurch ist die Datei gesperrt. Sie hat in den extents offenbar die Blöcke auf der Platte mit dem Schlüssel?

Das ist sicher die Ursache für den Fehler bei der Installation der "befreiten" cryptsetup.

Aber eigentlich besteht ja gar kein Grund, die Datei /etc/bash_completion.d/cryptsetup zu ersetzen, denn ich habe in meinem Paket ja absolut nichts an den zu installierenden Dateien geändert (sonst hätte es schon einen Fehler bei der Prüfung der md5sum's gegeben) - habe nur die Deklaration "Plymouth = required" entfernt, damit apt happy ist.

Wenn also dennoch alles geht und du plymouth restlos de-installieren (= purgen) kannst, ist der Fehler unbedeutend.

Dennoch würde mich interessieren, wie man die extents auf sauberen Weg entfernen kann. Kannst du mal versuchen lsattr für die Datei aufzurufen, wenn die verschlüsselte Partition nicht gemountet ist (z.B. von einem anderen System oder CD booten)? Dann sollte das "e" verschwunden sein, z.B. so:

ingo@pp:~$ lsattr /etc/fstab
------------------- /etc/fstab

habe es mit der recovery-konsole (root ohne eingehängtes verschlüsseltes /home) versucht aber auch hier kann ich deine Datei nicht installiert werden.

Warum funktionierte das unter Lucid, wollte das jemand bei Maverick unterbinden?
