Hallo Gemeinde,

ich bin hier mit Mint 10.0 (Julia) in der KDE- Version unterwegs. Ich habe seit ca. 3 Stunden folgende Probleme: 1. Wenn ich den Rechner herunterfahren (ausschalten will) lande ich, unmittelbar nachdem ich auf den entsprechenden Button geklickt habe, in einer Art Terminal- Anmeldemodus. Ich werde zu Login- und Passworteingabe aufgefordert, hiernach öffnet sich ein dann das Teminal. Ausschalten Fehlanzeige. 2. Das Miniprogramm "Hardwaretemperatur", welches vorher einwandfrei lief, funktioniert plötzlich nicht mehr. Es werden keine Sesoren mehr angezeigt. Ich kann das Ganze an der letzten automatischen Sotwareaktualisierung festmachen. Danach traten die beiden vorgeschilderten Probleme auf. Kann mir vielleicht jemand helfen?

Könntest mal schauen was so zuletzt aktualisiert wurde. Geht vielleicht so rauszufinden. Ersetze "10" evtl. durch längere Ausgaben.

Poste die Zeilen die zum Zeitpunkt der Aktualisierung passen.

Alternativ kannst du auch versuchen einen zweiten Benutzer anzulegen und schauen ob dort der Fehler auch auftritt. Wenn nicht liegt es nicht an den Paketen, sondern an deinen Benutzereinstellungen.

Das wird aber eine längere Angelegenheit. 😕

Das mit dem zweiten Benutzer habe ich schon probiert. Hierbei habe ich die gleichen Probleme.

Das Kubuntu-ppa ist gerade am Upgraden. Da ists kein Wunder wenns mal hackt. Linux Mint (kde) ist nichts anderes als ein Ubuntu mit dem kubuntu Backports ppa. Meiner Meinung nach: Finger weg von diesem Mist! Ich bin richtig angekotzt deswegen, da mich heute schon 2 angeschrieben haben mit einem kaputten Linux Mint KDE. Sowas gehört nicht auf einen Computer der genutzt werden soll.

Ich hab mir spaßeshalber mal ins VBox ausgesetzt. Die Quelle bekommst du nicht raus. Mint linkt eigene Pakete gegen die aus dem ppa. Du kannst also einfach warten und hoffen oder du installierst wirklich Kubuntu 10.10 drüber und vergiss Mint ganz schnell wieder. Rückgängig machen wird wohl nicht gehen, nein.

Wenn du das nächste mal herunter fährst und auf der Konsole landest, schau mal in /var/log/kdm.log, z.B. mit less.

Diesem Ratschlag bin ich doch mal glatt gefolgt. Die erhaltene Ausgabe verwirrt mich als Neuling jedoch arg. Mit anderen Worten: Ich kann damit gar nichts anfangen. Ich verstehe nur Bahnhof und Abfahrt. 😕

Auch wenn ich jetzt nicht grade der große Kenner bin, gefallen mir doch so einige Zeilen überhaupt nicht. Worte wie "failed" oder "Error" oder "not connected" oder "invalid Option" will man irgendwie gar nicht im Zusammenhang mit seinem Betriebssystem lesen. Vielleicht kann der geneigte Linuxprofi ja hieraus auch was erkennen?!? 😲

Wäre schön, wenn ich mein Linux nicht zum Teufel schicken müsste. Ich hatte mich grade so schön daran gewöhnt.

Der Teil kommt mir bekannt vor, siehe https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270228 (danke an mat69). Probiere noch kurz die dort beschriebene Änderung an der /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc und meld ich mich dann wieder hier.

Ich habe die entsprechende Zeile jetzt folgendermaßen geändert:

#HaltCmd=

Damit funktioniert es leider auch nicht. Allerdings werde ich auch nicht so ganz schlau aus dem Thread. Vielleicht kannst Du mir ja mal kurz auf die Sprünge helfen. Außerdem ist mir folgendes aufgefallen: Im Verzeichnis etc/kde4/kdm befindet sich noch eine zweite Datei, diese heißt kdmrc.dpkg-old. Auch in dieser habe ich die Zeile entsprechend geändert. Wie gesagt, ich lande nach wie vor wie im Thread beschrieben im tty1.

shutdown -h now

als Sudo von einem im laufenden System gestarteten Terminal aus den Rechner problemlos herunterfahren.

Du musst es zu

HaltCmd="/sbin/shutdown -h -P now"

ändern, also das # entfernen. Dieses Zeichen leitet nämlich einen Kommentar ein, es besagt, dass alles was in der selben Zeile nach ihm folgt ignoriert wird.

Wichtig ist, dass du # nur bei HaltCmd entfernst, nicht bei dem "normalen Text" darüber.

HaltCmd=/sbin/halt

sollte auch funktionieren.

Jup, so wie mat69 passt das (wobei ich die " " weggelassen hatte). Testen hat was länger gedauert, musste erst noch ein paar E-Mails rausschicken, sorry. Ich frag mich aber wo der in der kdmrc beschriebene default-Befehl versteckt ist.

edit: Beim Update auf KDE 4.6.3 wird wahrscheinlich die Frage kommen, ob man die alte kdmrc behalten, oder die Version des Paketbetreuers installieren will. Da der Bug ja schon gefixt, aber eventuell erst mit 4.6.3 ausgeliefert wird, sollte es ok sein, die Paketbetreuerversion einzuspielen. Sicherheitshalber erst eine Sicherung der alten kdmrc anlegen, dann ist man auf der sicheren Seite, und kann im Notfall diese wieder zurückspielen.

Ich hab es jetzt in allen möglichen Kombinationen versucht. Aktuell ist folgendes eingetragen:

HaltCmd=sbin/shutdown -h -P now

Es funktioniert leider immer noch nicht. Vielleicht noch jemand einen Ansatz?

Was steht denn jetzt in /var/log/kdm.log?
