ich habe gestern eine zweite festplatte an meinen pc angeschlossen, und auf ihr ubuntu normal installiert und danach die dateien rüberkopiert, und alles ging normal acuh booten, nur das ein neuer eintrag in der GRUB boot config war, dann habe ich die alte festplatte rausgetan da ich sie nichtmehr brauchte, grub ging garnicht mehr, habs jetzt wieder zum laufen gebracht, doch er startet direkt ubuntu und ich kann nicht auswählen welche header version bzw ob memtest, ich wollte fragen wie ich das alte wiederherstellen kann, bzw hinbekomme wies wieder so wie vorher ist?

Ich nehme an, du hattest auf deiner ersten Festplatte ebenfalls Ubuntu installiert. Dann war der Bootmanager ebenfalls dort drauf. Du könntest deshalb versuchen, Grub in dein neues System zu installieren wie in GRUB beschrieben.

vielen dank für die antwort ☺, doch das habe ich schon gemacht, und ubuntu geht auch, nur er startet direkt ubuntu, und nicht wie früher das bootmenu wo ich auswählen kann memtest usw. und ich habe den anweisungen auf dem wiki bzw auf der GRUB page gefolgt

laut der Datei sollte er das Bootmenu zeigen, doch kommt beim Starten nur igrendwas mit GRUB (...) ganz kurz und dann startet er Ubuntu, kein Bootmenu

Diese Zeilen sind entscheiden dafür, dass dir dein GRUB-Menü nicht angezeigt wird.

Wenn du die Datei entsprechend änderst, bekommst du es wieder zu sehen:
