Falsche Auflösung an HDMI und diverse Fehlermeldungen

Hallo Leute,

Ich habe jetzt Ubuntu 11.04 installiert und habe mit der Grafik manche Probleme. Beim Hochfahren bekomm ich direkt einige Fehlermeldungen von I915 und nouveau.

Zur Hardware: Nvidia Geforce GT420M (läuft nicht wegen Optimus), Intel Grafik im I5 Prozessor, Kernel 2.6.38-9, 2 Treiber zur Installation Angeboten

Wie es aussieht wird auch der Grafikspeicher nicht richtig erkannt. Denn im log steht

nouveau 0000:01:00.0: Detected 512MiB VRAM

eingebaut ist aber 1GB. Wenn ich einen HD Fernseher über HDMI anschließe, wird auf dem Fernseher nur eine Auflösung von 1280x720 zugelassen statt 1920x1080. Außerdem kann ich bis auf das obere Panel nichts auf dem Fernseher darstellen. Unter 10.10 hat das alles problemlos funktioniert.

Ich habe mal einige Fehler aus kern.log kopiert, die was mit der Grafik zu tun haben.

Ich habe bei einigen anderen gelesen, dass die digitalen Ausgänge nicht funktionieren, weil diese nur mit dem Nvidia Chip nutzbar sind, evtl. ist das hier ebenfalls das Problem. Bietet das BIOS keine Option, um die Intel Karte abzuschalten? (Oft muss man irgendwo eine Option auf "discrete" stellen)

Nein leider hab ich diese Option nicht. Ist halt Acer. Hab beim Kundenservice schon nach einem BIOS Update gefragt in dem das möglich ist, aber die Antwort war nur, dass auf der Acer Website das Update zu bekommen ist, wenn es eines geben wird, aber der Beantwortert wusste auch nicht ob es eines geben wird.

@anti windows: Erstens gefällt mir dein Name sehr 😀 Und zweitens: hast du vielleicht dafür bereits eine Lösung gefunden? Ich hab fast genau das gleiche Problem ☹ Bekommst du beim Booten auch so eine Meldung, wie ich? (siehe Anhnag)

Ich hab ein Acer Aspire 5741G Notebook mit Intel Core i5-430M Prozessor und ner nVIDIA Gt320M Grafikkarte mit 1GB VRAM.

Nein, ich habe leider bisher keine Lösung gefunden. Liegt warscheinlich an der Nvidia-Treiber-Geschichte. Deine Fehlermeldung bekomme ich auch bei jedem Bootvorgang. Stört aber nicht weiter. Scheint was mit dem Dateisystem zu tun zun haben: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1233149 . Ich mache mal ein BIOS Update. Vielleicht funktioniert dann ja HDMI. Ansonsten muss man hoffen, dass Nvidia sich doch dazu bewegen lässt einen Linuxtreiber für Hybride Grafiksysteme rauszubringen.

Der HDMI Ausgang funktioniert doch. Allerdings nur unter Gnome. Unity will nicht. Hab den Fernseher mit HDMI vor dem Anschalten angesteckt und dann im Failsafe Grafikmodus gebootet. Ist zwar nur mit einer Auflösung von maximal 1280x720 lauffähig und die Farben sind etwas verfälscht, aber immerhin bekommt man ein Bild und Ton über HDMI. Schade, dass Unity das nicht unterstützt. Wenn ich aber mit der HDMI Kombination boote und dann während dem Betrieb den Stecker abziehe, kann ich auf dem Laptopbildschirm nichts mehr sehen.
