Mein Host ist Ubuntu 22.04.2 und in der Virtualbox ist Archlinux(gestartet) Wenn ich auf dem Host Firefox 111.0.1 und Thunderbird 102.8.0 starte und virtualbox 6.1 auch, dann kommt es nach einiger Zeit vor das der Desktop also die Maus nicht mehr ansprechbar sind, und die Hdd-Led dauerhaft leuchtet. Woran könnte das obige verhalten herkommen?

Also das mußt Du schon mal selbst mehr einkreisen. Was Du da aufzählst, kann alles gleichzeitig laufen, ohne sich zu behindern.

Dann weiß auch keiner, welche Hardware Du da stehen hast (genügen CPU und RAM, ist es ein SSD oder schnarchlangsames HDD, was davon hast Du der VM zugewiesen etc.).

Im übrigen: VirtualBox: Repository in Ubuntu hinzufügen - und das, sprich aktuelles VBox, derzeit 7.0.6, solltest Du auch. Arch ist ein permanent aktuelles System, derzeit Kernel 6.2.8 (und da geigelt man nicht mit alter VBox-Schiene 6.1.x herum).

Also das erneuern von Virtualbox auf version 7.0 brachte keinen Erfolg. Ich habe Kernel 6.x installiert jetzt ist der Host weitestgehend stabil.

Bitte Eckdaten des PC posten .... wieviel Arbeitsspeicher und GPU Speicher wurde der virtuellen Maschine zugewiesen etc. ?

PS: FF & TB sind wohl nicht aktuell oder ?
