Hallo!

Meine externe Festplatte (2TB), auf der auch das backup ist, wird zwar angezeigt, läßt sich aber nicht öffnen. Wenn ich mit der rechten Maustaste auf das Menu gehe, ist der oberste Punkt (öffnen) grau und nicht anklickbar. Hat jemand eine Idee?

  • wo wird die externe Festplatte angezeigt? Im Nautilus oder am rechten Rand des Desktop

  • welchen Typ von Backup?

Die externe Festplatte wird am linken Rand des Desktop angezeigt. Backup-Typ weiß ich nicht, da ich die Festplatte nicht öffnen kann. Ich habe aber noch eine zweite interne Festplatte mit Windows 10 im Rechner. Vielleicht kann ich die externe Festplatte dort öffnen und nachschauen...

Eingabe-/Ausgabefehler, die Platte ist schlichtweg kaputt.

Du kannst versuchen, evtl. noch lesbare Daten per den dafür vorgesehenen Tools wie safecopy, dd_rescue oder ddrescue in ein Image zu schreiben (dafür brauchst du einen Datenträger, auf dem mindestens genauso viel Platz ist, wie die Platte groß ist) und diese dann mittels testdisk wiederherzustellen (näheres siehe Datenrettung). Bei einer 2TB-Platte kannst du dabei mit sehr vielen Stunden, gerne auch Tagen rechnen (kommt drauf an, wie viele Leseversuche gebraucht werden).

Oder du nutzt das aktuelle Backup der Daten. 😈

Nein. Man kann gffs. Daten retten. So wie beschrieben oder eine Firma beauftragen. Je nach Arbeitsaufwand (besonders, wenn ein Reinraum benötigt wird) kostet das gerne ein paar Tausend Euro.

Minimal schon. Wenn allerdings die zweite 2TB-Platte minimal kleiner ist als die andere, passt das da auch nicht rauf. Das Dateisystem, dass man da raufmachen würde, um die Daten schreiben zu können, braucht auch nochmal Platz.

Nachtrag:
Je nachdem wie sich dein Backup gestaltet, erzeuge ein neues. Am besten auf einer hochwertigen externen Festplatte.
