Hallo ich habe auf einem DELL Inspiron seit langem Kubuntu am laufen - gestern kam ein Update von rtl8821ce-dmks und nach Neustart ist kein Netzwerkadapter mehr verfügbar.
Handelt sich wohl um ein Kernel Modul, wird auch unter lspci -v angezeigt.
Der Network controller steht hier unter 2:00.0, die I/O ports alt 3000 [disabled] Wie kann ich das Gerät wieder einschalten, bzw. das vorherige Kernelmodul wieder installieren? Habe eben mittels Installationsstick feststellen können, dass kein Hardwareproblem vorliegt... Viele Grüße

Im übrigen ist KFocal in 2 Monaten End of Service, Du solltest so langsam aus dem Knick kommen. Sofern Deine Angabe überhaupt stimmt, denn von rtl8821ce-dkms ist in Focal seit 2 Jahren nichts mehr gekommen, wohl aber gestern in Jammy.

Da isser ja wieder, der Realtek Wlan Chip, der seine Besitzer so gerne ärgert. Kannst Dir mal den Thread durchlesen, aber bis zum Ende. Je nach Gegenseite macht der Chip aber auch mit neurem Kernel und darin enthaltenem Modul für den Realtek Wlan Chip immer noch Ärger.
